STI
offers a wide range of safety light curtains, from the
compact Micro-Safe, to the robust Perimeter Access Curtain.
There are seven different families of safety light curtains,
with a range of 3/4 inch object resolution, to two inch
object resolution. STI offers you a wide range of choice,
because one size does not fit all.
STI
Universal safety mats are constructed of heavy duty
PVC to withstand against breakdown, piercing or wear.
With 18 gauge, 4 conductor wire, and a unique STI method
of attachment, helps insure a positive connection. STI
offers two types of trim material, from the industry
standard 6003-T5 aluminum, and an all new safety yellow
PVC trim. With mats available from 12" x 12"
to 48" x 42" and multi-mat configurations,
STI can meet your needs.
STI safety interlock switches are available in a wide
range of styles to meet your demands. Models range
from magnetic operate, tongue (key) operated, hinge
operated, limit type, and trip cord. Through STI,
monitoring safety relays are also available. These
units help you meet the mandate of "control reliability"
as stated in the ANSI standard B11.19,1994.
 Trapped
key systems (ProSafe) allow the safety manager and engineer
to design a safe process of machine shut down and start
up. With the trapped key, the machine can be brought
to a safe condition, before access is allowed. The ProSafe
benefits are: all stainless parts, weather cap as standard,
replaceable code barrels, color coded key, a complete
range of isolators.
The TouchStart button requires no physical pressure
to actuate the switch, this reduces the likelihood of
wrist injury due to repetitive motion. The design circuitry,
prevents false triggering due to radio frequency interference.
The switch requires no special power supply, because
it operates on both 120 VAC and 24 VDC.
